KMC Courtyard Artistry, craft, wit and whimsy have been hallmarks of Karen Melfi Collection since its Santa Fe debut on August 1, 1989. Mariposa/Santa Fe, as KMC was first known, was the dream child of Karen Melfi and her mentors/partners, Peg Cronin and Fay Abrams of Albuquerque's ground-breaking Mariposa Gallery. Over the ensuing years, that ever-whirling wind of change swept through Karen Melfi Collection often enough - Peg and Fay left to revitalize old, and explore new, interests. Renamed, Karen Melfi Collection expanded into the gallery space next door. Wearable Art has been added to our evolving collections of contemporary jewelry, ceramics, and mixed media pieces.
Fearlessly, we bought a computer.

But the more we change, the more we remain the same. While nurturing new artists, we treasure those who have been with us from the beginning. Dazzling diamonds continue to share gallery space with flighty thing-a-ma-bobs. New faces of customers become familiar faces of friends - returning week after week, year after year. And, yes, the neighborhood dogs still drop by for their morning cookie, and, no, we still haven't pried the floppy out of our zip drive. Enjoy our web site. Send us an e-mail. Give us a call.
